Cheri’s boudoir session

Cheri was one of my sorority sisters and roommates in college. Now she lives in Hawaii and is serving as a nurse in the Navy. When she wanted us to do her boudoir portraits I was extremely excited to spend time with her again. As you can tell from the pictures she loves to laugh. What you can’t see is what I love most about her – she is whip smart and an incredibly loyal and supportive friend. Enjoy!

Cheri – I’ve always found you to be a beautiful person, inside and out. I know it’s cliche, but it’s true. I hope these pictures are a nice reminder of your external beauty. Love you – Heather

Kelly’s B-pics

Someday we’ll add a “published by” on the blog so you know who’s talking. For purposes of this blog I thought it may make sense to point out that this is Heather. We’re back in a full season of weddings so I get to take over the blog!

When we had a last minute cancellation on our boudoir weekend, our friend Kelly offered to be a fill in model. So the for the last session of the weekend we eeked out enough energy to shoot, but mostly we just talked with her and her husband, Jason.

There are many reasons I love being friends with Kelly – three are evident in this session. 1. She has the an amazing smile and she’s quick to laugh. 2. She is a planner. The outfits we chose were only half of what she brought because she wanted us to have options. 3. She throws herself into any project. She actually brought a baseball glove to complete the Cardinals “look”.

Kel – Thanks for being a fill in! I hope you really enjoy the pictures. Maybe after your fitness competition we can shoot some edgier ones to show off what I’m sure will be a ridiculously cut body! – Heather

Katrina >model boudoir

Meet Katrina, another fabulous model that took advantage of our boudoir weekend. Actually I’ve known her since high-school when we sang in choir together… that’s right. We had a model cancel on us last minute and she jumped on the chance to join in.

These shower pics gave us an awesome story. The tub was leaking and we didn’t know it. It caused the ceiling in the restaurant below us to flood and dropped ceiling tiles during dinner. Oops.

We’re still trickling in some pics from our boudoir weekend last month, so here’s a few more. We asked a few ladies to do a couple model sessions for samples, strange how most people want these session private huh? Anyway, Ashley jumped on the opportunity to add to her portfolio and not get dragged in to some creepy guy’s basement! You may remember her from our play shoot a couple months ago. As usual she rocked, I hope you enjoy. There’s still a couple more posts from our weekend coming so keep an eye out.

We’ve been getting requests for a while now to do our own take on a boudoir session. So in early April we took on 7 sessions at the super fun Ophelia’s Inn in downtown Independence. We had a ton of fun and feel so lucky to be able to work with such beautful women! If you’re interested in joining the fun just let us know, we’ll be doing another b-weekend in the next couple months, and don’t worry, you’ll only show up on the blog if you want to.

I have to say that Christine really blew us away with her beauty. I dare you to guess her age! Okay maybe not. She’s the sister of our wonderful friend Steph ( you might remember her e-session ), look for her pics after the wedding in August. Enough… enjoy!
