We obviously see a lot of toasts – some good, some bad. arely do either of us have to write one. But on October 2, I’ll be handed the microphone and expected to say a few words about my best friend and her new husband. I’m telling you this because I sit almost at a loss for words and I’m only writing their engagement blog post!
Christine has been one of my best friends since college. We were in the same pledge class and forged the kind of deep bond you’re looking for when you join a sorority. I have always been amazed by her generosity to her friends, her intelligence and her fun-loving attitiude. She epitomizes class. Oh and she loves boating! In fact, that’s how she met Brett. In him she found someone who loves to have a good time, loves her and also loves to boat. And as they say, the rest his history. They spend their days graciously entertaining friends on their boat. They love thier life and they love to share it with others. Here’s a peek at two of my favorite St. Louis people.

Christine and Brett – We are so excited to attend your wedding as guests! Don’t be surprised when I’m first in line for cake (instead of last) and Aaron is first in line for a drink (instead of abstaining at the bar). It’s going to be a blast – but that’s no surprise when you’re involved. We love you.

Joel and Chelse are a bit untraditional, so it’s no surprise that their Friday wedding found us wandering the alleys of the Crossroads, laying on a hill to capture their wedding party and enjoying a magician at their reception. We always love it when clients bring their personality! So here’s a peek at what we saw throughout their day.

The first time we met Brooke she sat in our studio in complete awe of our work. That’s a sure way to get in on our good side! She gushed and laughed and talked and talked and talked. I, for one, was hooked by her bubbly personality and was very excited when she chose us to shoot her wedding. When we got the chance to meet Michael a few months before the wedding, it was clear he was also hooked. His stiff military facade melts when he looks at Brooke. And in mid-May we celebrated with them in a wedding full of color, military honor and laughter. Enjoy!

Someday we’ll add a “published by” on the blog so you know who’s talking. For purposes of this blog I thought it may make sense to point out that this is Heather. We’re back in a full season of weddings so I get to take over the blog!
When we had a last minute cancellation on our boudoir weekend, our friend Kelly offered to be a fill in model. So the for the last session of the weekend we eeked out enough energy to shoot, but mostly we just talked with her and her husband, Jason.
There are many reasons I love being friends with Kelly – three are evident in this session. 1. She has the an amazing smile and she’s quick to laugh. 2. She is a planner. The outfits we chose were only half of what she brought because she wanted us to have options. 3. She throws herself into any project. She actually brought a baseball glove to complete the Cardinals “look”.

Kel – Thanks for being a fill in! I hope you really enjoy the pictures. Maybe after your fitness competition we can shoot some edgier ones to show off what I’m sure will be a ridiculously cut body! – Heather

Chuck and Beth’s wedding really represented their relationship. It was elegant without being showy, deeply emotional without any drama, and backed by the love of family and friends. Simple, true, deep – and without further ado…
Venue – The Little Theater
Day of Coordinator – You’re Invited
String Quartet – Moment Musical
DJ – Marc O’Leary

Chuck and Beth - Thank you for allowing us to be part of your day. You are two of the most down to earth people we know and that’s truly a joy to be around. And thank you for following us into dirty alleys and city planters – we hope you think it was all worth it.
