November 23, 2011

In a lot of ways, our 2011 Kansas City weddings felt like going home. They gave us a chance to slip back into town, snag a few of our favorite bites and enjoy the fact that we know the city so well. For Pat and Liz’s wedding it meant visiting the ever changing, but always quietly beautiful West Bottoms. We drug the wedding party into a partially collapsed building that we scoped out a few years ago. (Fun fact: After that initial visit Aaron required a tetanus shot after literally… and cliché-ly… stepping on a rusty nail. This time around everyone avoided sharp, rusty objects.)  We ended the day at The Hobbs Building (another favorite spot) for a gorgeous ceremony and awesome party.
