First off, you’ve spoken and we’ve listened. I promise that the big ugly photo signatures that we use will be changing very soon (just promise not to steal our pictures… okay!) I’m working on some blog updates and will unveil everything at once.
Second, Brent & Stephanie’s wedding was a blast! Besides letting us shoot with the party in the West Bottoms, which we love, everyone was super chill and ready to have some fun. They even taught us a little lesson. Don’t go home after a wedding and watch Bridezillas, then make obscure Facebook comments about watching said show. Your bride that you just left, say an hour earlier may get concerned. Sorry Steph, we love you, not the crazy brides on tv. Lol… anyway… Enjoy.
Ceremony: Our Lady of Sorrows
Reception: Union Station

The pancakes and fries are actually the groom’s cake and looked super real!

…. and third. When Heather and I actually get to shoot together there are always some funny shots that come out of it. Usually me climbing on something or generally making a fool of myself. Heather eating cake…. you know, good stuff. I keep meaning to share some of it with our posts so here you go. If you like it I’ll keep it up, let me know.

In the super late blogs category… the Ruth family. As always I was super excited when Ron called and asked me to shoot his beautiful family as a birthday gift for his wonderful wife. Truly a blast. Enjoy!
Just in case you forgot… Ron is still one of the best wedding entertainment directors in town… don’t let it happen again

We’ve been super stoked about Justin & Lacey’s wedding ever since they’re awesome e-session this spring. Lots of warmth, a school bus limo, history tour around downtown Lexington and a rockin’ live band sure didn’t disappoint. Def one of the most fun groups ever! Enjoy.

Cheri was one of my sorority sisters and roommates in college. Now she lives in Hawaii and is serving as a nurse in the Navy. When she wanted us to do her boudoir portraits I was extremely excited to spend time with her again. As you can tell from the pictures she loves to laugh. What you can’t see is what I love most about her – she is whip smart and an incredibly loyal and supportive friend. Enjoy!

Cheri – I’ve always found you to be a beautiful person, inside and out. I know it’s cliche, but it’s true. I hope these pictures are a nice reminder of your external beauty. Love you – Heather

I’m still a little shocked that I’ve lived in KC my whole life and had never been to Shawnee Mission Park, crazy. I’m glad Jared & Arley talked me into the trek because it is really an awesome park, so much to do and see. I mean… where else could you do yoga in a field, play with a blind Golden Retriever and chase deer? I can’t think of anywhere. Enjoy.
