Tim and Kristen’s wedding was marked by a calm sureness in their love and their faith. It felt as if they were meant to be together and this day was not the beginning of their lives together, but just one beautiful step in the journey.

Kristen was the most calm bride I have ever met – ever. Before heading down the aisle her bridesmaids took a moment to pray for her.

I love the moment just before a bride walks down the aisle.

The whole day was full of people who clearly love Tim and Kristen. Just look at her sister’s face – she is so happy for Kristen!

A few happy tears from Tim’s sisters

During the cocktail hour we stole them for some emotion-filled picture time.

Atop the Loose Mansion

My absolute favorite true art image from this wedding. Aaron is a genius!

The first dance was a particularly emotional one. You could just tell they were happy to have found each other in this crazy world.

The reception also had some awesome dancing, yummy cake and funny toasts!

Tim and Kristen – Thank you for letting us be a part of your family for a day. It was great to relax with you and document your day. We hope you love the pictures.

Tony and Amy’s engagement session started under the watchful eye of the Elvis dog. London wasn’t quite ready to join the party yet.

Still watching…

After a little warm up shooting, London was ready for action. On the move she spoted a turtle.

A little alone time for the adults to play.

It started to get a little steamy …

And London didn’t want any of that! This is my favorite engagement session pic of 2008. The horror on London’s face completely caputres what every kid thinks when their parents kiss.

A little more quiet time for the adults.

Then London needed some camera time. In the top right picture she’s waiting for Tony’s hand — no words necessary, just an invitation she knows will be eagerly accepted.

The light decided to play nice too!

Gogreous!

Tony, Amy and Lodon — Thanks for giving us a peak into your world. Your love of life is contagious and we’re so happy to be shooting your wedding in just a few weeks! -Heather

We got to meet Ron back in June for Kyle & Laura’s wedding and boy am I glad we did. Nothing against normal dj’s but Ron is simply a cut above (and don’t call him a dj… he dosen’t like it) His amazing combination of hoppin party, and emotional touches make every reception memorable. I can honestly say he does things I’ve never even heard of, like custom mixing the couple talking about their first meeting into their first dance song, suprise dances, and a storytime of the couples whole relationship that leaves no dry eyes in the house. Obviously he’s a photographer’s dream, how can you not get great images with all the wonderful emotion and activities going on?

Anyway… when Ron called and asked for a little advice on updating his website including some new profile pics how could I say no? I always get a little nervous shooting other people in the “biz” because we all see so much and have an idea of what we want. Ron was no different at first, but capturing his larger-than-life personalitly turned into a blast! Here’s a few of our favs but be sure to check out his all new website for great info!

So sometimes there is a big lull during dinner and for some reason people don’t like having their picture taken while eating. Weird, right?

At this particular wedding we found ourselves resting on the steps of the Loose Mansion and Aaron’s camera was pointed straight at my face. A few clicks later and we were thoroughly entertained.

To any prospective wedding clients — I can provide references who can attest to the fact that I have not scared away any guests … yet.

Left: My impression of our dog — wary but watching. Middle: Kind of reminds me of Popeye. Right: Who knows.

Left: About to dig for gold … not really people, come on! Middle: Tonge rolling champion 2008. Right: My impression of one of Aaron’s favorite poses from the season. If he’s done it to you, you know just what I’m talking about.

And then I got cake …

That just happened.

Brian and Emily have a very quiet way about them but they were great sports as we drug them through and around the Loose Mansion. We coudn’t help it! The first time we shoot at a space we get really inspired. It turned into a nice mix of vintage/modern/English garden.
