Last week I was fortunate enough to spend time learning from one of the few wedding photographers that truly inspires me. John Michael Cooper came through town on his Very altf tour and was hosted by the wonderful Jason Domingues. If you haven’t seen John’s work your out for a real shock, we try to be untraditional but he takes it to a whole new level.
There is something so wonderfully honest and artistic about conceptual work and it was really an honor to see a master at work. But why just observe when you can be a part of the art? At every stop in the tour JMC shot a different conceptual series and what better than Dorothy and flying monkeys for KC? Even though some of the good looks are covered up I am the monkey on the left in the next three pictures. That’s right, I’ve been immortalized with a hairy mug. Oh well… it was a ton of fun.
Just watch out, I’ve had plenty of shoots like this rolling in my head over the last few years and they’re clawing to come out. It might not be today or tomorrow but they’re coming and I might just ask you to help out!
Talk about a hot day in June… everything about Chris and Beth’s wedding was hot. The temp, the couple, the wedding party, the family love, and most importantly the pictures! Simply put we had a blast and turned out some of our favorites of the year so far. This was also our first time at Hillcrest Country Club and the grounds were gorgeous, we can’t wait to go back, we could shoot it a million ways. Until then this is one way…
I love first meetings, so emotional.

I think I could just take pictures of grandfathers all day… they are soooo cool.

Beth just glowed the entire day, so easy to capture.

Sometimes it’s a tale of 2 photographers. Same set, plenty of hotness. My view:

The rebels.

Just wanted to give a little tease from our last couple weddings. Plenty more to follow.
Tim & Kristen… actually from a couple weeks ago but you all know how slow I’ve been lately

Cody & Tina from last night. How gorgeous is Tina? Guard you eyes cause she will rock your world when you see the rest!

So I said in my last post that I’ve been bad at blogging lately but I didn’t realize just how bad it was. I completely missed posting Michael and Ashley in the craziness of June & July.
Regardless of my huge memory lapse we had a ton of fun with this whole group. They actually had the wedding in Mexico but decided to party at The Berg downtown, which happens to be one of our fav places to shoot. Lucky for us we still got to have some fun time…. and here they are…

Now for the faces. Who needs jowling when a couple makes funny faces naturally?

All the details rocked so I have to share a few.

Oh you saw it right… that’s a Delorian grooms cake. How freaking awesome is that!?

Photo booths always crack me up, especially when we barge in;)

I know… I know… I’m sorry… I’ve been terrible about blogging lately. Heather & I have just been really swamped with everything. The good news is that I’m really close to being caught up with processing so you should be seeing more blogging and less waiting.
In that same spirit here is Blaine and Anna’s e-session. No words, just hotness!
